There are two keys to a great fitting rental tuxedo or suit:
1. Choosing the right style
2. Getting professionally measured
The first step is choosing the right style with the right fit! There are four categories of fit for our rental styles-- ultra slim fit, slim fit, modern and traditional.
Traditional Fit
The least fitted of the cuts is traditional. With a fuller fit than contemporary styles, these tuxedos and suits tend to only be available in black, white and ivory. Additionally, most traditional tuxes utilize pleated pants. We can pair the traditional tuxedos with any color accessories even though most are featured in the classic black tie (or white tie) styling.
Modern Fit
For a more tailored suit or tux, a modern fit may be more appropriate. The modern suit is paired with a flat front pant and a more tapered jacket. In additional to the traditional colors, there are some grey options as well.
Slim Fit Suits and Tuxedos
Not every slim fit suit is created equally. Slim fit is quite the subjective term and a very broad category of fit. The majority of styles fall into the slim fit description. Slim-fit styles are characterized by shorter jackets, fitted jackets and tapered pants. If you have a specific fit you are aiming for, a knowledgeable associate can give you an idea of how the suit fits compared to other similar styles.
Ultra Slim Fit Suits and Tuxedos
As an answer to the catch-all slim fit category, we carry about 10 ultra slim fit rental tux and suit styles that are even more tailored. Ultra slim fit doesn't just mean skinny though. Most of these styles go up to a size 66R jacket. Our Michael Kors styles are also available in regular slim fit and ultra slim fit to accommodate many different body types.
As far as measurements, we defintely prefer to measure the guys ourselves if possible. If not, we do have a national network where out of town guys can be professionally measured.
